Welcome! We usually run through around four dances slowly so you can learn the steps before we add music. Our classes are all about having a crack, not about perfect steps.
A great tip is to place yourself somewhere in the middle of the room so you can follow dancers on all sides, as we turn our dances to face every wall.
-
Most of our classes are beginner-friendly, except for the 7:30pm session in Brunswick, which is a beginner/improver level. Take a squiz at our dances here to get a sense of the level.
Beginner: Perfect for anyone wanting to give boot scooting a go.
Beginner/Improver: For dancers who’ve done a few classes and feel confident picking up choreography.

Anything comfortable that you can move in. Western flair is always encouraged but definitely not essential. Classes can get warm, so light clothing is your best bet even in the colder months. We usually don a T-shirt and shorts or jeans for optimal comfort.
Cowboy boots are also not essential, you can wear any footwear you’ve got.

We don’t offer refunds, unfortunately. However, if you’ve purchased the wrong date or can no longer attend, we do offer a resale option for Brunswick and St Kilda classes via Humantix. Follow the link here for instructions.
-
Of course! Kids are welcome at the 6:30pm sessions in Brunswick and St Kilda.
For Richmond (starting in April), classes will be 18+ only.
-
Absolutely. There’s a bar at our Brunswick and Richmond venues. Cans are preferred on the dancefloor, open glasses are better kept to the side.
We offer lots of drink breaks throughout the class so you can grab a sip then. Water bottles are always encouraged.
